Wildwood Quality Cleaners was started in 1980 by Kenneth McElroy.
Ken originally operated a general store in the building where the dry cleaners is now.
At the time, the dry cleaners across the street (the current location of Adorn on Main) went out of business and Ken saw an opportunity to start a new adventure.
He began the business with 2 employees, himself and Janie Fogle.
Janie ended up working for the business for more than 30 years.
On Ken's unexpected death in 1984, his widow, Gail, kept the dry cleaners operating while also working a full time job.
