What are the economics?
Our average customer spends $20.00 per week per person, that covers clothing, bedding, towels.
This works out to be around three loads at home and takes about around total three hours, sorting, stain treating, loading, transferring, matching and folding.
So is your free time worth $7.50 an hour; less the cost of detergent and utilities and wear and tear on your machines?

The dry cleaning process implies cleaning clothes or fabrics by using a liquid solvent that contains little or no water.
Water is the only thing that separates laundry cleaning from dry cleaning.
While dry cleaning the surface of fabrics, it does not perforate the fibers like water does in a washing machine.
This is one reason why dry cleaners in ancient times used a variety of solvents including gasoline and kerosene to clean clothes and fabrics.
After World War II, the volatile synthetic solvents carbon tetrachloride and trichloroethylene gave way to a product known as perchloroethylene (perc), which became the overwhelming solvent choice for the dry cleaning industry.
