There are many things to consider when investing in an Oriental rug, and it's not always a simple task to choose the best carpet for you.
Whatever rug you choose, you are likely to have it, and live with it, for a long time, possibly even passing it down to future generations.
That's why it's important to feel confident about the choice.
Here are some tips and guidelines for judging the quality of any rug.
Look at Look at the fringe.
If the fringe is sewn on, the rug is probably machine made.

We have established a few tips to help.
The following are some simple steps which will help your fine treasure remain beautiful for many generations.
Rotation: rotate your rug once a year to ensure even wear.
If traffic is excessive, rotation may be needed more often(less often if traffic is limited).
Cleaning: It is recommended that your rug be professionally washed every one to three years, depending on traffic.
Keep a small container handy with the following items: a clean cloth, paper towels, a cloth brush, mild detergent(no bleach or alkalies), white vinegar, weak ammonia(7% solution), sponges, alcohol, and glycerin.
