Suntime Pools West
Over 35 years ago our owner, George Hoge, decided he wanted to start a swimming pool company in Louisville, KY. He had been building pools with some partners in Lexington, KY and decided to focus his attention on building pools in the city to the west. That decision led to the name Suntime Pools West, as we are west of the Kentucky River. George recognized the need for a quality swimming pool builder in the area and started focusing on learning and perfecting the craft.

He decided to not only build quality swimming pools but good relationships with his customers with the hope of providing solid workmanship and support after construction. That mindset is what led to the development of a quality retail and service operation. We have grown over the years and now employ 50 people in season. We will always strive to live up to what George has created.

Our goal as a company is to continue to work hard and provide our customers with the best experience possible. We proudly operate under the guiding principles of our Mission Statement: to help folks increase their quality time and to do so with expertise, integrity, and a smile.
Services
Our experience has taught us that adding an appropriate dose of shock, algicide, and enzymes under the pool cover during the winter can improve your water quality and reduce clearing and cleaning costs in the spring.
In addition to the application of the suitable chemicals, our Winter Service Package includes removing leaves, debris, and water from the top of the cover, lowering the water level under the cover and adjusting waterbags and cover straps.
A general inspection of the area and equipment will be done and the customer will be notified of any potential problems.
Custom covers keep out unwanted winter debris like leaves and other organic materials.
However, the biggest benefit of a custom cover is that it provides protection to your family, pets and neighbors.
These strong and durable covers are anchored into your existing pool deck and will help prevent accidental drownings in the off-season.
Call for any service needs including swimming pool renovations, repairs, openings and closings.
We are considered an essential business and are still opening, servicing and repairing pools during this pandemic.
We are practicing social distancing so please give our techs at least 6' (more if possible!) of separation if you need to communicate with them when they visit your pool.
We only open in-ground swimming pools.
If you need help with an above ground pool opening please contact one of our locations to get a referral.
We will contact you the week before your opening request date unless there is a problem with appointment availability during the dates that you requested.
We will remove cover and leave it folded on your pool deck.
This does not include cleaning the cover or removing water and debris from the cover.
It may be necessary to reschedule your opening, on the next available date, if the cover is not clear of water and/or debris.
We don't recommend lowering the pool water level below mid-skimmer for closing, unless you have a tile border and a gunite, concrete or stainless steel wall pool.
Fiberglass pools, even with tile border, should NOT be drained down at all.
Lowering the water level at closing can put some pools at risk for serious damage.
We will contact you the week before your closing request date unless there is a problem with appointment availability during the dates that you requested.
I will monitor the water level over the winter and contact you if I need assistance with that.
