When you think of carpet cleaning, you might think of steam cleaning or shampooing. You use a big machine to put hot, soapy water all over your carpet, and then try to get the dirty, soapy nastiness out. The problem with this method is that it forces water down to the bottom of the carpet too, where no amount of pulling at it with a wet vacuum will ever get it up.

What happens when the bottom of your carpet is wet? It creates the perfect breeding ground for mildew and mold. It harbors tons of bacteria. And as the carpets dry, the capillary action of the fibers pulls the dirty water right back to the surface. You thought those spots were gone, but there they are again! If you are getting your carpets cleaned, presumably you care about your health and indoor air quality.

We imagine that you don't want to be breathing in mildew and mold spores. We suppose that when you get your carpets cleaned, you would prefer for them to actually be all the way cleaned. That's why at Steam Pros two separate cleaning methods, Hot water extraction and Dry carpet cleaning.

Traditional shampoo methods of carpet cleaning often involve getting the carpets saturated and then waiting days for your carpets to dry.
It forces the soils down to the bottom instead of extracting, Not only is this inconvenient, but it makes mold and mildew grow deep in your carpet fibers and into the padding.
Then, as the carpet dries, the capillary action of the fibers bring the soil back up to the top of the carpet pile, this is known as wicking.
We use the "HWE" hot water extraction method.
If you have tile floors, you probably already know just how difficult it can be to get them thoroughly clean.
Yes, you can mop them, but practically nothing will get the deep-down dirt up - even getting on your hands and knees and scrubbing.
Here at Steam Pros, we can help you with your tile, and grout.
It is really hard to get to the deep-down dirt and stains with a mop or even with a scrub brush and a bucket, but it's easy if you have the right tools and equipment.
We use high pressure steam to loosen the grime that is down in your grout and deep in the fine lines of your tile.
Pet urine is also notoriously difficult to get up from the carpet.
As it dries, it becomes very sticky.
At a molecular level, it bonds with the carpet fibers in a way that is extraordinarily difficult to remove.
This is why urine stains are so persistent, and why it seems like no matter how much you scrub the carpet, you can't get the smell all the way out.
If you have pet urine smell in your home, it can be very embarrassing.
You might be afraid to invite people over to your house because they will smell it as soon as they walk in the door.
