Blackwell's
Blackwell's, Inc. is committed to ensuring every project is planned, communicated, and executed to guarantee safe, first-time quality, a tightly managed timetable, and attention to cost benefit. The specialized equipment used in today's industries requires specialized industrial cleaning equipment and skills. Clean industrial equipment maximizes efficiency.

Equipment that is not maintained can result in expensive shutdowns. Planned shutdowns are generally good for business. Equipment and machinery can be cleaned, made more efficient, and made safer. The history and evolution of Blackwell's Inc. has been one of dramatic change since 1983, when we were known as Blackwell's Chimney Sweep Service. We soon added pressure cleaning to supplement work during the slow periods.
Services
Working as a sole proprietor sweeping chimneys was not my first taste of self-employed hard work.
As a young kid I had sold newspapers, cleaned restrooms at the local Texaco (for $3 a week), and cut firewood for college funds.
Having a college education and sweeping chimneys was a disappointment to my Mom and other family members.
They thought I could do much better than that, but so did I.
Opportunity knocked when I realized that many of the same techniques used for centuries in the " art" of sweeping chimneys could be applied to industrial duct and machinery cleaning.
Manufacturing typically creates all kinds of dust, smoke, mists, or any number of different particulates.
These contaminants are removed from the manufacturing facility through an exhaust system which ideally filters the exhaust air before it is released back into the atmosphere.
Over time, these contaminants can build up in the exhaust ductwork itself.
Posing a potential liability associated with illness due to breathing contaminated plant air.
OSHA recommends a routine regular inspection of supply, exhaust, return grilles, and ductwork (at least semi-annually).
Whether you prefer to call it Dry Ice Blasting or CO2 Blasting, cleaning with super cold dry ice, propelled at supersonic speeds, is a superior industrial cleaning method for equipment and machinery.
It's faster, more cost-effective, and an entirely environmentally friendly cleaning technology.
The dry ice pellets that we use are made from food grade carbon dioxide approved by the FDA, EPA, and USDA.
Dry ice is nothing but frozen CO2 in a pellet form and will sublimate safely back into the atmosphere.
Brings the power of high-pressure air or water excavation, and the ability to vacuum and remove both wet and dry materials, from your industrial site.
A powerful and efficient vacuuming workhorse when waste removal or waste recovery is all that is needed.
The gravel (known as ballast) protects the waterproof membrane underneath from the blistering and cracking damage from the sun.
The ballast helps weigh down the membrane to keep it in place.
And, it makes the roof more energy-efficient.
Some of these roofs have lasted 40-50 years and longer.
Concrete seems to last forever.
The Colosseum and the Pantheon, built by ancient Romans at least 2000 years ago, used a material in their construction that is very similar to our modern concrete.
In the 1990s, concrete floors took a giant leap forward when workers discovered it could be polished.
Because of its porous physical nature, concrete can take on vibrant colors, bringing beauty to what's generally thought of as plain and boring.
Shapes and patterns can be created on existing concrete by shallow saw cuts and color dyes and stains.
