At Hotshot Hood Cleaning we realize that as a facility owner or manager your number one concern is putting out a quality product. Our first concern is keeping your investment safe and clean. One of the major causes of restaurant fires is improperly maintained kitchen exhaust systems. Cleaning and regular maintenance of kitchen exhaust systems are mandated by the States of Oregon, Washington, and local health and fire codes.

Properly maintained exhaust systems improve air quality, virtually eliminate the risk of dangerous fires and help keep your equipment working properly. Our company is committed to a high standard of excellence that follows through all that we do, from our extensive in house training program and customer service to our adherence of our safety guidelines.

In 1983 I started full time cleaning restaurant hoods by hand!
Scraper poles, hand scrapers, brillo pads, rags, degreasers, solvents and lots of really hard and nasty work.
Very difficult to get those hard to reach areas clean, but I tried.
Being the lazy guy that I am, I decided to begin using a hot pressure washing method, adding in a caustic to help dissolve the heavy buildup and strong degreaser to wash that grease off the surfaces.
The first jobs were scary!
I was trying something new and had no backup, after several jobs I gained more confidence.
When you call to schedule your hood cleaning, our helpful office staff will schedule an appointment and provide you with a full system inspection.
This will allow us to determine if we can properly do the job, all hood systems are not created equal, and some may require more resources than we can provide.
Realistically, high rise down town buildings are not my choice and we do not clean the hood systems of restaurants with a high volume Wok.
We choose not to embarrass ourselves, or to charge for services that are unneeded or which we cannot provide.
Many unregistered hood cleaning companies only hand wipe your hood and filter area, this is only part of the cleaning process and does not meet fire codes.
Hotshot Hood Cleaning performs a proper cleaning which includes the hood, duct work, filter trough area, filters, fusible links and fire suppression heads.
This is required in accordance with NFPA96 (National Fire Protection Association) standards.
The Fire Marshall won't accept less!
The fan is tested for performance, if the fan is working slowly or not at all the night manager will be immediatly notified.
